Heavy rainfall will affect areas of Colima, Guerrero, Michoacán, Nayarit, Oaxaca, and Puebla. Meanwhile, Campeche, Chihuahua, Durango, the State of Mexico, and Quintana Roo will have intervals of showers. The Secretariat of Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection (SGIRPC) of Mexico City warned residents of the municipalities of Álvaro Obregón, Cuajimalpa, Magdalena Contreras, Milpa Alta, and Tlalpan as temperatures are expected to drop to between 4 and 6 degrees between 4:00 and 8:00 AM.
Authorities advised residents of these areas to see a doctor if they experience respiratory discomfort, to dress warmly by covering their nose and mouth, to avoid sudden temperature changes, and to consume fruits and vegetables rich in vitamins A and C. In response to the forecast of extreme temperatures, Conagua urged the population to take preventive measures such as dressing warmly and staying hydrated, avoiding prolonged exposure to the sun, paying special attention to people with chronic illnesses, children, and the elderly, and following health and Civil Protection recommendations.
